Edhi strongly adheres to
the principle of self help. It is hard to think of any welfare
organization or a non-gevernmental organization, sustaining its

government and foreign aid-giving agencies. It is even harder to
understand the active rejection of the concept of such a support. All

Edhi Foundation has always considered to be the helping hand to every needy persons. The CNG auto Rickshaws distribution was the example, the Rickshaws were distributed amongst the holders of 2 stroke Rickshaws on ‘’No Profit No Loss Basis’’, The Government is keen to ban the KTR & KCR 2 stroke Rickshaws to lessen the atmospheric pollution as well as the noise pollution, they produce lots of carbon derivatives and produce a thick noise.
As there is perception that if the government bans the old auto Rickshaws there will be sudden unemployment factor for those who are already some earning for their children to struggle for surviving the most expensive time in the history of Pakistan on the other hand the government is working for decrease of atmospheric + noise pollution, thus the Rozgar Scheme is covering 2 Aspect of the society to fight the un employment factor as well as the noise and atmospheric pollution.
The Foundation has lunched the 1st phase of the scheme through which 500 units will be replacing the 2 stroke in Karachi and following the same for Lahore, Multan, and Hyderabad also.
